Hi! This is Sharon from Super Fast Recruitment with a recruitment marketing update. Now this week’s video is about one specific element of Google Analytics and this is an area that most people don’t know about and certainly don’t use.


Now most people have heard of Google Analytics even if they don’t use it and we definitely recommend to any of our clients that they have Google Analytics on their website.


Now when you go and have a look at it, yes it gives you lots of really helpful information and generally people tend to look at how many visitors have I got coming to my website; how long do they stay on it; how many pages do they look at – real general  information.




Now recently I was talking about why have a blog and I answered that question and here’s where you can get ideas for creating content from a blog and that is you can get it from Google Analytics.


Because what you can do in Google Analytics is you can look at what is the content in the articles, the videos, the podcasts on your blog that people are clicking into and looking at; what is attracting people to your website.


Now, if you notice that certain topic areas have got lots and lots of views and lots and lots of listens then that is a real clue that that topic area is a big priority for your target audience.




So if you start looking at what Google Analytics is telling you about what is bringing people to the website, gradually over time, you’ll start to see themes emerging and that just gives you great ideas for what other additional content to be building around those themes.
