Hi, this is Sharon from Super Fast Recruitment with a Recruitment Marketing Update.

Today’s topic is; ‘Why One Is A Lonely Number’.

In the last few weeks, we’ve been talking to a number of potential clients and it’s been a common theme that they are relying, predominantly on one marketing strategy.

Happy Front Desk Lady Attending Clients Call

It’s a very powerful and useful strategy which is the phone and that isn’t wrong, because it has a key place in marketing for recruitment businesses.

In today’s digital world that one strategy alone won’t deliver all the results you want; especially if the calls you make are all cold.

Like any relationship people respond better as they get to know you; it’s about building trust and engagement.

Today I want to give you one extra strategy that is working well in today’s business to business world and will help you bring in more leads, whilst branding you as an expert in your sector.

Lead Magnets

The strategy I want to share with you today is known as a lead magnet. Fundamentally it says what it does on the tin! It attracts potential candidates, clients or talent into your business.

This is something where you create a piece of useful content that you share privately with your market, – it could be:

  • A PDF file.
  • A video
  • A podcast
  • A checklist
  • A template

For example – For a client, it could be “8 Ways To Manage Top Performing Talent”. For a candidate, it could be “8 Ways To Perform In An Interview”.

It is something that is going to be really valuable quality information that is going to be helpful to those groups.

How it works

What you do is you create that content and then you offer people that in exchange for their email address. So they sign up, they get X access to that content and then the key thing is, once they’ve done that they’ve given you permission to market to them.

email

If there’s one thing to think about in this quarter it’s: ‘what could your lead magnet be?’ / ‘what could you create?’
