Hi, it’s Sharon Newey from Superfast Recruitment, and today I want to talk about the two Ps. Yes, that’s the two P’s rather than the classic marketing four P’s, so my two P’s are procrastination, we all probably relate to that at some point, and prioritising.
Now, these came up because of a number of things that have happened over the last few weeks as we’ve been working with clients.
We were putting together an email marketing campaign for a particular client, and it had taken a bit longer than we both wanted, and it finally went live. Then on a Friday night I got an email on my mobile phone that I picked up, and it said, “Update”
Now, I wasn’t surprised that this email campaign had started getting results, it was email two, by the way, but I think the client was probably somewhat surprised, but on the second of, I think it was a sequence of seven emails, on the second email, somebody had responded and contacted this company to say, “Hey, thanks for your email. Give me a call; I’ve got two jobs that I’d really like your help with,” so that was a great result.
What I want to share with you is that I’m not surprised and I don’t want clients to be surprised because we wouldn’t take the time to do videos like this, podcasts, blog posts, do all the educational things that we do if what we’re teaching didn’t work.

Have Confidence
I think the key thing here is that so often as you are spinning so many plates, it’s easy to think that you haven’t got time and that marketing can slip down that prioritisation list and also you might procrastinate because you’re not sure: • will it work, • won’t it work, • do I need to tweak this, do I need to tweak that? Sometimes 80% there is good enough. Get it out there; because if your emails are not getting out there, if your marketing isn’t happening, it won’t have an opportunity to work for you; will it?Time Will Always Be a Challenge
There’s always going to be a challenge when it comes to time. There’s never enough hours in the day. I think many people say that, too often sometimes. It will always be, as a business owner, a challenge, time, but it’s a case of creating time. What do you need to delegate out to create the time to bring your marketing up that level of priority and put procrastination to one side. Do it, press the green light, get those emails out, make offers. People can’t come to you and ask for your services if you are not out there communicating what you do in the right way and making offers. Make your marketing important. Make time to do that, important. That’s my two P’s, prioritise, get over procrastination and just do it. That’s Sharon Newey from Superfast Recruitment.Ready To Get Going?
