In a week’s time, we will be marketing your recruitment company, and a group of members from Superfast Circle are going to be in my seat, and that is in front of the video camera, and I will be on the other side of the video camera.
I’m excited about that.
Now, why are we dedicating one out of two days of our Superfast Circle event to the subject of video?
Now, I want to share with you three reasons today why we’ve made that really important decision.
1. You Can Stand Out In Your Sector (So few Recruiters have caught onto video…. Yet)
Recruitment, it’s people business; isn’t it? It’s about relationships and video provides a fantastic opportunity for recruitment companies to stand out in a very competitive marketplace.
I think one of the most common needs that recruitment companies have when they talk to us is they want to stand out and be the go-to business within their recruiting sector, and video is an underutilised vehicle for sharing content within the recruitment space and is a proven way to help you stand out.
Fact: If you want to stand out, use video.
2. It Increases Connection
The second reason though is that video allows you to stand out so much more because it gives you a super medium to connect with people in a way we haven’t been able to do before.
So much of content, marketing (we’re known for creating blogs and social media across the globe for clients) is in a text format, which is great to connect with people in the word form and….
Video adds another level and allows people to see you, to hear you as well, and they can read the transcription, let’s say, of a video on your blog.
So, you’ve got three mediums there to connect and engage with people.
We make judgments, don’t we? About do we think we could get on and work with that individual that we see in a two, three-minute video clip. It’s a powerful impression that we can make and give to both clients and candidates.
3. Video Generates Leads
The third reason is we all want leads, we all want leads coming into our business and video gives you an opportunity to accelerate that lead generation process.
Let me give you an example. We shared a video on LinkedIn last week, and we know that a lead came in, within 48 hours of that video being posted.
So, connection with your audience, accelerate relationship building, accelerate your ability to deliver leads and make you stand out, three reasons why you need to be using video in marketing your recruitment company.
