Ice Recruitment is a small boutique IT recruitment company who are a specialist recruitment partner for the IT channel. They work exclusively partnering with VARS, LARS, IT Resellers, Distributors, Vendors, Specialist niche resellers and software & services businesses.

Rachel and Neo the directors of the company came to us for help and guidance with their marketing.

In Rachel’s own words here is what happened next:

The Situation

Our IT sales Recruitment Company has been trading for nine years and we had got some good results, however we knew there was a huge amount missing.

We didn’t have a marketing plan to help us grow and we kept putting it off because of time and lack of knowledge; yet we knew we had to start, the only thing is we didn’t know where, or how.

What we did realise is that there was a lot more we could be implementing to attract and engage with clients and candidates.

So, we came across Superfast Recruitment as marketing experts in the staffing sector and decided to book a call and take it from there.

The Benefit of Having a Direction

After I spoke to Sharon, I realised there were lots of areas and gaps in our process missing. But the good thing was Sharon made me appreciate they were more than attainable.

That conversation made me realise that if there was a plan, and a structure, you could help us and guide us all the way through, and that we just needed to implement the process you gave us.

It was a relief to know, here’s a solution, they’re going to help us, and all we have to do is execute.

Compared to pre-joining Superfast Circle, we are doing so much more:

  • We’ve learned about the parts of digital marketing that work in the recruitment sector.
  • We’ve learned about how we can make online work
  • We know how to increase traffic and engagement, most importantly, with clients and candidate and this has now increased ten-fold.

 

The Superfast Circle Event Was Invaluable

The Superfast Circle event which is all part of the programme gave us so much more than information. As a small boutique IT sales recruitment company, we don’t get the chance to talk with other recruitment leaders.

At the Superfast Circle event we were able, to engage with other leaders within recruitment who are larger companies, smaller companies, and all at different stages of their business life cycle; it’s such an invaluable learning process.

Going home from the event on the train my head was buzzing with ideas that would work for us at Ice. Being away and giving ourselves the time to focus on our marketing is something we hadn’t done before.

We are recruiters not marketers, though we have now incorporated marketing into our weekly routine. Being at the SFC event gave me the opportunity to put in place our long-term marketing plan which we know will deliver.

It gave us time to think and critically to work on the business, not just in it.

As a small business we get caught up in recruiting because it’s our priority and yet you need to plan and execute the marketing plans to keep the recruitment flowing which is exactly what membership of SFC is helping with.

Getting Clarity Direction Help and Resources

This is where being part of Superfast Circle and working with Sharon and Denise is invaluable.

Their experience, their help, their guidance, always accessible through the group online and the weekly video calls and updates; they always have an answer or a resource you can use to any questions we ask.

If it’s not in the Superfast Templates and Campaigns templates that we’ve got access to, we can put a question into the SFC group, and somebody will answer it. If it’s not Sharon and Denise other members will answer.

This gives you courage to keep going, because sometimes you just sort of think, am I doing the right thing? Is anybody listening the other end of this campaign that I’ve put out?

There is so much guidance from this group programme. It has been invaluable to me with the writing, the content and the structure.

The resources and step by step online learning platform, well, I mean it is all amazing!

There is one resource that I use daily. A campaign that has been ongoing to engage with my clients and my candidates, and that has increased my engagement with them tenfold.

I have been able to follow it to a T. I’ve literally ‘tick boxed’ what I need to do and within my allocated time each day I follow that, and it’s all been guided by Denise and Sharon.

If I felt like something wasn’t working, I would go back to them. We tweak it for my industry and that’s been really successful.

Results

We have had a great end to the year and I personally made my biggest placement ever. January has been our most productive in business and we know our data which mean the placements will land.
