Content Marketing Mistakes: Why You Need To Create Your Own Content

Today in part two of this series of videos on content marketing and social media mistakes.

What I want to talk about today is the content that you’re creating and importantly how vital it is to create your own content.

So often when I’m looking at social sharing that companies are implementing and I click a link, I find it takes me to another person’s website, another company’s website and not back to that recruitment company’s website.

Lost Opportunity

This is a lost opportunity, so what you want to be thinking about is creating your content that positions you as an authority so that when you’re sharing it with a link, that link clicks back through to your website.

People read that content on your site, but then what else can they do? They can then go and maybe read through a case study that validates the quality of service that you offer.

They might want to go and do a job search, or they might want to have a look at another blog post because they’ve got a bit of time and they wanted to do some research and educate themselves.

The key thing here is when you are sharing the content please share your own content that pulls people back to your website.

Otherwise, you are losing the opportunity for a potential lead, be that client or candidate.
